1. How long has the brand been going for
We are now in our 7th year, it has been an enjoyable journey we have had some wicked parties at the best venues in London along the way.
2. Why did you choose the name Back295 and not another year like 92
It's no coincidence that we named the event "Back To 95" because that year is significant within the House and Garage scene.
It was a very good year for the music and the UK scene started to grow and evolve in 1995. A lot of parties were taking place and quality new music was being put out every week.
3. Who are the team behind the brand
There are two of us that organize the events we have a team of people that help us promote the event and regular staff on the night of the event. It's a big family from us through to every DJ on the lineup.
4. What are the secrets to your success
We think it started with identifying that a quality night encompassing the music from the mid 90's house and garage scene was needed. We set out to recreate that oldskool vibe we experienced back then ourselves. This was something people wanted in a night out themselves due to the changes in the scene in the previous 5 years. From the first event we were jammed and we have kept up the demand for the night by always going that one step further ensuring we put on the best party for a crowd that knows exactly what they want.
5. How have things changed since you Started.
The basis of the event hasn't changed from day one, except for the fact that we have had to increase the capacity to cater for the demand. We have the same setup of Dj's that were there from the first event. We now cover other genres of music in other rooms at our events, which complement the classic house and garage we have made our name from.
6.Do you Still get a buzz from Hosting B295
We still get the buzz putting on the events especially because the people that attend appreciate what we do and always come back. We have set our standards so high and it is a challenge to make sure the next party is better than the last.
7.What is in store for 2008
We plan to have another successful year and carry producing wicked parties. For 2008, our first event is our 7th Birthday Party that takes place on Easter Thursday, 20th March. With this being our birthday we are celebrating in fine style with special guest Kim English flying over from Chicago to perform some of her legendary tracks including her biggest track "Nightlife". We also plan to host events this summer in various resorts across the Mediterranean. We also have plans in the pipeline to make this year even more exciting.
